"In card eight he saw a human head which he described in elaborate detail. This is encouraging in that his description was highly intellectualized; he does seem to be quite an intelligent person. The common unconscious equation of head and phallus may be involved here, in which case his response could be a further indication of castration fantasies. But then again, he did miss the more obvious phallus in card six so I wouldn't want to read too much into this one."
